Deanne is excited to start her first season with the Fort Sharks! Some of her fondest childhood memories are associated with summer swim league. She grew up swimming for Harleysville Swim Team in the Bux-Mont League, where she also coached in the late 90s and early 2000s. She had a successful high school career at Souderton Area High School and was an All- American swimmer in several events. She went on to swim at University of Maryland before transferring to Cornell University. She was a national level swimmer in the 100 breaststroke.
Most recently, Deanne spent five seasons coaching high school swimming at Souderton from 2015-2020 where she coached both boys and girls varsity and JV. She enjoys teaching the fundamentals of swimming as well as doing technique refinement.
Deanne currently works as a per diem pharmacist but feels like she’s in her element on the pool deck. She’s happy to be coaching again and that her two children will be on the team!
